For Employees

Patch Law advises employees from all walks of life who need advice on a Settlement Agreement, who are facing difficulties at work or who have already been dismissed for any of a number of reasons – both lawful and unlawful.

At Patch Law we pride ourselves on providing an empathetic and expert service, giving you clear advice on your situation and your options for dealing with it. Whilst we cannot offer free advice, Patch Law aims to offer as affordable a service as possible so that you can access the advice you need swiftly. This prompt attention is often crucial to meet the tight time limits for employment matters but also helps to alleviate the inevitable anxiety you are likely to be feeling.

Our commitment is that every client will receive customer service that is second to none – including out-of-hours telephone appointments if required - and you will not need to be ‘chasing’.

Unlike some employment law firms, Patch Law does not focus purely on executives when taking on new employee clients, believing that everyone - whatever their status in an organisation’s hierarchy - is entitled to access high quality and honest advice to resolve their difficulty. Patch Law’s employee clients range from gardeners, cleaners and care workers through to professionals, senior directors and CEOs.

If it is necessary to apply to the Employment Tribunal to resolve your complaint, it is worth checking whether you are covered by legal expenses insurance – often an add-on to your household insurance policy – and Patch Law can then represent you at no cost to you.

We will ...

  • Give you clear and practical jargon-free advice on what to do
  • Give an honest, realistic assessment of your situation and case
  • Offer you high levels of customer service
  • Help to protect your interests and ensure you are properly compensated when things go wrong in your workplace
  • Act swiftly and efficiently and resolve matters for you in the most cost-effective way

Advice at your convenience…

Whether you are wanting the reassurance of a familiar face-to-face meeting, or are time pressured and wish to keep to communications by email and telephone, we can offer appointments and consultations to suit your needs and schedule.

Client meetings can be arranged at our meeting rooms near Kingswood, or, if you would prefer the convenience of dealing with your whole matter through our responsive and flexible telephone and email advice service, then this can also be arranged.

This option is particular popular for advice on Settlement Agreements and for our Discounted Fixed Cost Initial Advice service.  We can also offer Skype advice calls if that is your preference.

We can advise you on the whole range of work-related issues

  • Discrimination and Grievances
  • Disciplinary, Performance Management or Sickness Absence Procedures
  • Maternity Leave and other Family Rights
  • Unpaid or under-paid wages
  • Flexible Working
